Rainwater collapses roof at Garland shopping center
The 2:30 a.m. collapse was caused by rainwater that had accumulated above The Thrift Shop at Miller Road and Glenbrook Drive because of clogged drains, fire spokesman Merrill Balanciere said.

Family holds out hope that Army reservist David Nambo will recover

Rey has been by his son David Nambo's side since June 23, 2008 after David collapsed from running during military training in Ft. Knox, Ky. The family hopes David will be well enough soon so he can be transferred to a hospital in Dallas to be closer to the rest of his family.
